How Jobanzeiger Pfalz works

Jobanzeiger Pfalz is a private, non-commercial regional job portal for openings in Palatinate. This page explains public use: home page, vacancy search with filters and result cards, wishlist, global feedback widget and legal companion pages.

The vacancy search at /stellen/ is the core: city, employment type and profession free text narrow results; pretty URLs stay readable and bookmarkable. Infinite scroll loads further cards; saved openings live under /stellen/merkliste/. External vacancy links go through the interstitial /out/.

Public usage

Home page

/ – At / the origin story of Jobanzeiger Pfalz begins. The hero area leads directly to the vacancy search. Benefit: reach open Palatinate positions immediately and understand the regional character of the site.

Choose language

The language control sets German, English, Ukrainian, Turkish and Spanish (?lang=de, ?lang=en, ?lang=uk, ?lang=tr or ?lang=es). The chosen language remains in the session until a new ?lang= value is set. Benefit: the same interaction in the preferred language.

Vacancy search and filters

/stellen/ – At /stellen/ the profession free text with autosuggest (#jobs-category-query, suggestions #jobs-category-suggest, API /stellen/category-suggest/), city select (#jobs-filter-city) and employment-type select (#jobs-filter-job-type) are available. Neutral value all or empty profession text means no restriction. Profession search starts only after suggest selection (click or arrow highlight plus Enter); Enter without highlight starts no search. Visible filters land in the bookmarkable pretty URL /stellen/{category}/{city}/{job_type}/ (order matches the filter fields; trailing empty segments are omitted, landing e.g. /stellen/koch/kall/). Active filters appear as chips under #jobs-active-filter-chips and can be removed individually. Filter changes refresh the result list and facets via AJAX. The parameter and result tables below list GET names, UI labels, examples and HTML locations of card fields.

Infinite scroll and clickout

The first page shows a limited number of results. While scrolling, /stellen/more/ loads further openings as JSON (sentinel #jobs-infinite-scroll-sentinel). Clicks on external vacancy URLs go through /out/ with a short interstitial. Benefit: read long lists without page changes and open external offers in a traceable way.

Wishlist

/stellen/merkliste/ – On each vacancy card the save button (#jobs-result-merkliste-{id}) stores the opening in the visitor session. The overview is at /stellen/merkliste/; the toggle endpoint /stellen/merkliste-toggle/ updates the state. Benefit: collect interesting Palatinate openings and find them again later.

Feedback widget

The global feedback widget opens a modal via #feedbackWidgetToggle. The required field is the message message (#feedbackWidgetMessage) with at least five Unicode characters. Submit goes to /feedback; close via #feedbackWidgetClose or Escape. The feedback table below lists element, purpose, HTML location and technical details.
